So..They Lost…Again, Interesting Music and Warped Tour

March 15, 2008

So, the Leafs lost tonight. 6-2! OMG! Jesus…help this team…

I really want to buy the new CD by Viggo Mortensen entitled “At All”. You can check it out here. Usually, Viggo’s CD’s aren’t for the people who can’t accept different music. Lots of pianos, voices, just, oddness. But it’s awesome. If you can, check it out. I also want his new book called “Skovbo”. He takes amazing photographs and God I want this book. Check it out here.

So, who’s going to Warped Tour this year? Anyone? I need tickets badly…

Anyway, that’s it from me. I need to go…do…nothing..*cough* my life is boring *cough*

I’m Just Wonderin…

February 12, 2008

Why does everyone think Amy Winehouses’ album is the best album of the year? Have you listened to the rest of the album BESIDES “Rehab”? It’s horrible! I don’t understand.

Anyway, that’s my anger for today. Back to class.

New Photos and a Blow-out

February 6, 2008

Hey everyone! As you can see here, I uploaded some new pictures from a show at my DeviantArt page. Be sure to check them out. If you wanna learn more about “This Ends Now” (the band that was performing), go here.

Well, the Toronto Maple Leafs lost tonight. Not really a surprise. BUT, what is a surprise, is the fact that they lost to the Florida Panthers 8-0!! What the hell happened? I think it’s time for a MAJOR revamp of the team. Just a whole damn change of fortunes. Please? K. Thanks.

Shame From Spain

February 4, 2008

This is absolutely appalling to see. Lewis Hamilton, who is Formula One racer for McLaren, was subjected to racism at the Formula One race in Barcelona. You can read the article and see a horrendous picture of the bastards here. What the fuck is wrong with people? What have we become? These kind of people should just run out onto the track and make life better for the rest of us.

What Everyone Already Knows

February 4, 2008

So, the Giants won the Super Bowl…umm..wahoo? Who gives a fuck? Not me. I am happy for Eli Manning. Sometimes people who look like him need some support. Why does he look like a 7 year old with Downs Syndrome every time he throws the ball?

Incredible Weekend, Another CULT Story, Top 10 Albums of 2007, and Hockey News

January 28, 2008

Hello all! I just spent an absolutely incredible weekend with my girlfriend. It was our one year anniversary on Saturday, and we celebrated by going to the movies (27 Dresses is actually pretty good) and going to Apple Bees (which was friggen delicious). So that was amazing :) I also got to see Juno and Cloverfield, so I’m a happy person hehe.

So, I know people are probably getting tired of all the Scientology stories and such, but it’s a threat, and people need to be educated. Go here for a great article from Time by Richard Behar. It’s a great read for anyone who wants to know more about this CULT.

I’ve also uploaded my deviantart site with a new photo, so check that out here.

Users of the site PunkDisasters have compiled a list of the top 10 albums of 2007. I gotta say, I haven’t listened to some of these, but those that I have, I agree with. Check out the list here.

And finally in some quick hockey news, the Easters All-Stars beat the Western All-Stars today by a score of 8-7. Go east. Down with west…ya, ok. Woopity. In news that matters a little more to me, there’s a lot of speculation that Mats Sundin will be traded by the trade deadline. Personally, I don’t think it will happen, but wouldn’t that be fun? Just completely mess with the Maple Leafs’ roster? Maybe its exactly what they need…

A LEAFS WIN!

January 18, 2008

HOLY MOLY! The Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Boston Bruins tonight in a shootout no less! I’m quite impressed! Mats Sundin and Alex Steen scored in OT while Phil Kessel and Marc Savard missed in the shootout for Boston. I’m pretty happy about this! 2 straight wins!? WHAT!? This isn’t the Leafs we’re used to seeing!

In other NHL news, Washington took out Edmonton, also in a shootout, 5-4, while the Montreal Canadians beat the Atlanta Thrashers 3-2, also in a shootout! Ottawa beat Carolina 5-1, while Detroit took out Vancouver 3-2 in OT. Finally, Anaheim beat the Nashville Predators 2-1…in regulation! Only 2 regulation wins tonight in the NHL. Ahh…makes for good hockey!

Peace and love!

Time Could Be A Farce, DUI Terror, The Hobbit, Another Loss, and Global Warming At Work

January 13, 2008

Check out this interesting little tidbit of information here. You don’t have to be a nuclear physicist or anything smart like that to kinda get this. It’s pretty incredible.

I came upon this link on digg.com. They’re images proving why you should NEVER, EVER drink and drive. I think anybody who does that anyway is a fucking retard and she be bitch-slapped about 100 times, but that’s besides the point. Check out the images here.

Ok, I gotta be honest. I am SO stoked that “The Hobbit” is going to be made, and not only that, but Peter Jackson will be producing it. So awesome. I’m a huge nerd. Leave me alone. Click here to read an interview Elijah Wood gave with MTV. It’s a pretty good read.

Well, they almost did it. They almost had a win! But last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs once again lost. This time it was to the San Jose Sharks. They almost did it! Going into the third period, up 2-0, you shut your opposition DOWN! But no. That’s not the way it happens. San Jose scores 3 goals in the third period and wins the game 3-2. Ugh. Something needs to change, and it better happen quick.

That’s all from me for a bit. I just wanna take this opportunity to point out how damn freaky it is to be living in Barrie and looking out the window in the middle of January and barely see any snow, anywhere. It’s just…it’s just not right. *sigh*

Night Out and A New Tender

January 12, 2008

Last night I went out with my friends to the Queens Bar in Barrie. It was ok. Not my kind of place. All “clubby” and such. I’m more of a strict bar guy. Calmer. Not as much “boom cha boom cha boom cha” music. But hey, my friends asked me to go so I did.

Well, thanks to that place, I got a MAJOR headache. So bad I had to leave early. Which was lame, ’cause I felt like I was ditching my friends, which I never like doing. So I took a cab home, laid down, and I immediately was out. I slept from 1 am to 2 pm. Wowsa. THAT is a long ass sleep. I think I slept that long because a) My last two nights I had slept a total of 5 hours and b) A headache. So, in a way, the headache was a motivation for me to sleep. And now I feel great! So….go headaches!!

The Leafs play tonight in San Jose. Oh God. They’re screwed. San Jose is red-hot. And the Leafs? *cough* no comment. They even called up Justin Pogge! I hope he plays. I wanna see him get a shutout and become a lead goal-tender. How awesome would that be? Hehe Just a thought.

Peace and love

I Can’t Sleep…So I’m Listening To New Music

January 11, 2008

Not being able to sleep sucks. We all know it. What sucks even more though? The fact that you WANT to sleep. Also, the fact that I have a class at 8 am. That kind of sucks too. I laid down on my bed with two sheets, stared at the ceiling, and for 15 minutes, couldn’t even shut my eyes. I wanted to. I tried to. I couldn’t. So I turned on my laptop. Checked my Facebook, among my other usual sites I check. Nothing fascinating. Except for some comments on my new pictures on Deviant Art. Check em out here.

After that, I browsed around the iTunes music store. New music rocks, and I had heard that the “Juno” soundtrack was pretty good. I took a chance. I bought it. And I must say, I’m not disappointed at ALL. It’s simply amazing. I will listen to it over and over again. There’s one artist on it, Kimya Dawson. She’s phenomenal. Check out not only her, but this soundtrack. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

In other news, the Leafs once again lost tonight to the L.A. Kings. 5-2. Again, 5 goals against. What the hell?!?!?! At least they managed to get a few in the net. But getting four goals against you in the first period alone isn’t exactly an ingredient for a winning game. *sigh* I’m losing my patience with my beloved Leafs.

Anyway, that’s all from me. Maybe now I can sleep. Probably not though. I’m gonna need a LOT of tea tomorrow morning…

Peace and love
