The Tata Nano and the Infamous iPhone

No, this isn’t the new model of the iPod Nano. It’s a car. First of all, how cool is it that a car has the word “Nano” in it’s name? I’d drive it 🙂

Tata-Motors, a New Delhi based automotive manufacturer has just released a new vehicle called the Tata Nano, a small, affordable car for people who wouldn’t necessarily be able to afford a car. The price? 100,000 rupees. Which comes to about $2,500.00. How amazing is that? You can read the whole article here.I want one.

Finally, here’s a little story about the infamous iPhone, and how it’s not only changed the wireless world, but how Apple almost didn’t deliver on time. Read the story here.

Peace and love

Justin

You’d buy it because it has “Nano” and I’d buy it for the “Ta-Ta”‘s!! Between the two of us, maybe they should think about importing them!

The “people’s car” is a wonderful example of India’s mid-20st Century mindset and its squandered chance at 21st Century development. My short essay on this can be read at http://memestreamblog.wordpress.com/2007/10/12/india-going-nowhere-fast/.
